Spirit Aircraft

Spirit Performance Specs

Introduced at Oshkosh Airventure 2011, Spirit has quickly gained a reputation for design, comfort and performance.
People quite often mistake Spirit’s stylish look for a composite airplane even though it is of all-metal, monocoque construction.

As the saying goes, you must be really good friends to fly side-by-side in an airplane.  Not so with Spirit.  Spirit’s cabin is a full 48” wide.  Sitting in the lushly upholstered seats, two 250 lb pilots will have 4” between their shoulders.   The seats adjust a full 7.25” by simply pushing outward on the seat latch and assisting your movement with the integral door-post handholds.  Head-to-roof clearance is enough for a 6’8” pilot.

The comment we most often hear from people who demo Spirit is that it “looks, feels and flies like a real airplane.”  It’s very satisfying to know we achieved what we set out to
do.  Put Spirit into a turn and it will hold that turn until you tell it otherwise.  You can land or takeoff with full elevator authority at extreme angles of attack.  Pull the power off and Spirit has a glide ration of 10.5:1.
