WAC Aircraft offers customers a variety of comfortable, convenient, and common sense features other light sport aircraft does not.
Cabin Space: WAC aircraft have cabins exceeding 48″ in width. This means that two large pilots can be seated comfortably with several inches between their shoulders – -allowing each person their own cabin space. Cabin height will accommodate a 6’8″ piot.
Slide Out Instrument Panel: Avionics maintenance is a breeze with a slide out panel that allow access to all wire harnesses.
In-fight Adjustable Seating: Seats in all WAC airplanes adjust 7″ forward and backward – on the ground or in the air. Long or short legs, there is a position that every pilot will find comfortable. You are not required to be outside the airplane to adjust the seats. While in your seat, grab the windshield pillar assist handle, push the seat lock outboard and pull yourself into position.
Folding Control Sticks: Getting in and out of a WAC airplane is hassle free.
Rotax Engine: 912 ULS2 100HP is standard equipment; Turbo Charged 914 UL is optional.
Tires: Used on all WAC aircraft are Specialty Tire Air-Trac 15×6:00×6. These tires may be used on pavement or grass. Each tire is 6-ply, rated at 1920 lb. load and 120 mph.
Cabin Heat: Engine coolant is used to supply cabin heat to the airplane. A supply and a return hose pass through the firewall and into a radiator mounted high under the glare shield. There is a 300 CFM fan on top of the radiator blowing down to the occupant’s feet. Air temperature is controlled by a variable shut off valve on the supply hose and a fan switch on the console. This heater system is standard on Grand Edition and optional on Sport Edition.
Steering: All WAC aircraft incorporate a steerable nosewheel. An adjustable shock absorber on top of the nose strut allows adjustment for airport or off-airport operations.
